Anne St. Peter is the Founder of Global Prairie, a purpose-driven global marketing firm with seven offices in the United States and two in Europe. Anne instills in our Global Prairie team an unwavering commitment to using business as a force for good. Anne is a pioneer in the field of purpose consulting and counsels organizations and leaders on how best to harness the power of purpose in their organizations to drive bottom-line results, employee engagement and happiness and social impact.
In 2008, together with Douglas Bell, Anne launched Global Prairie, a 100% employee owned, a Benefit Corporation (B Corp). B Corps are businesses certified to meet rigorous standards of social and environment performance, accountability, and transparency. This growing community of B Corps now numbers over 6,000 globally. Global Prairie ranks in the top 1% among all B Corps globally and has been named by B Lab a 2022 “Best for the World B Corp.”
Anne is active in her Kansas City community. Her current civic leadership roles include: Vice Chair, Board of Directors, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City; Trustee, University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC); Chair, Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Henry W. Bloch School of Management; Board Member, BioNexus KC (formerly Kansas City Area Life Science Institute); Board Member, United We (formerly Women’s Foundation of Kansas City); Board Member, Civic Council of Greater Kansas City.
In January 2023, Anne was appointed by Kansas Governor Laura Kelly to serve on the University of Kansas Hospital Authority Board of Directors.
Anne served as past chair of the board of directors of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation; she was the third woman leader and youngest individual to serve as chair of the KC Chamber; and she is an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
She was recognized as a “Woman Who Means Business” (Kansas City Business Journal), “40 Under 40” (Ingram’s Business Magazine), “Alum of the Year 40 Under 40” (Ingram’s Business Magazine), “Woman Mentor of the Year” (The Central Exchange).
Anne graduated from Wellesley College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Anne is married to Robert St. Peter, M.D., CEO of the Kansas Health Institute. They are the proud parents of two children, Claire (Yale ‘24) and William (University of Notre Dame ‘25).
